The 2025-2026 Classical Series

The Wisconsin Union Theater is proud to present the 106th season of the classical music series. This season takes a journey from classical music's honored foundations to today’s innovations that extend classical traditions into the future. Signature presentations of Beethoven, Haydn, and Bach remind us why the greats are great. And breathtaking new works demonstrate classical music’s relevance and vitality in our time.

Featured are world-renowned mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato and the cutting-edge string trio Time for Three, performing a theatrical telling of Emily Dickinson’s fierce and often hidden life, set to music by GRAMMY-winning Kevin Puts (The Hours) that defies the traditional song cycle. Other highlights include legendary pianist Richard Goode’s GRAMMY-nominated renditions of Beethoven’s late piano sonatas and the return of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, performing the complete Brandenburg Concertos by J.S. Bach.
