Campus Event Services provides planning and coordination for any size wedding reception, anniversary party and other special events. The beautiful rooms and spaces in the Memorial Union and Union South offer a unique backdrop to your dream day.

*Please note that for weddings May 2025 and beyond, the special service fee is increasing to $1,000*

  • ***The Wedding Lottery for July 2025 will occur on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024***

    Only Wisconsin Union Members may make room reservations.  If you are not currently a Wisconsin Union Member, we invite you to join.  Learn more about Becoming a Member.  

    Popular Space Reservations For Union Members

    The Union uses a lottery system for member reservations in our popular large reception spaces—Great Hall, Tripp Commons and Varsity Hall. On the first business day of each month, the lottery takes place for the month 18 months in the future (i.e. a wedding in November 2023 can be booked at the lottery on the first business day in May 2022). 

     If you wish to book a member event on a date earlier than the month being booked during the lottery, you may submit your request here anytime.

    We offer two convenient options for attending the lottery: 

    • In Person - Arrive at the Campus Event Services office in Memorial Union (2nd Floor) between 8:30 am and 9:00 am. You will receive a number upon completion of a form. The lottery will be held at 9:00 am with reservations made in the order that the numbers are drawn.
    • Virtually via Zoom Link - At least one business day prior to the Lottery, please email events@union.wisc.edu. We will send you a form to fill out and a Zoom link to attend. Please log on to the video call between 8:30am and 9:00am and you will be given a number. The lottery will be held at 9:00 am with reservations made in the order that the numbers are drawn.

     

  • *September 2025 - November 2025*

    As we eagerly await a confirmed football schedule for 2025, we are limited in our availability to book weddings for September - November 2025. Until the football schedule is released we are unable to book Friday weddings at Union South and Saturday weddings at both Memorial Union and Union South. This is reflected in the available dates below. We recommend couples reach back out about these dates once the football schedule is released!

  • Wedding Tastings

    We offer menu tastings for wedding couples on the following dates:

    Entrée & Wine Tasting Dates:

    Sunday, November 3th, 2024 - 1:00pm-3:00pm - Varsity Hall at Union South

    Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 - 1:00pm-3:00pm - Tripp Commons at Memorial Union

    Hors D'oeuvres & Signature Cocktail Tasting Dates: 

    Sunday, February 16th, 2025 - 1:00pm-3:00pm - Great Hall at Memorial Union

    Reservations are required - please contact the Campus Event Services Office at least 2 weeks in advance to register at (608) 262-2511 or events@union.wisc.edu. 

    Catering Menus & Info

  • The Wisconsin Union offers a wide range of audio/visual and presentation equipment for weddings at Memorial Union & Union South.

    Event equipment can be reserved through your Campus Event Services wedding planner as soon as your event is scheduled. Our friendly team of event and building managers are available to assist you with your rented equipment use or answer any questions on the day of your event.

    You may bring in your own equipment, but we cannot provide technology support for non-Wisconsin Union equipment.
