The Black Box Sessions are intimate, club-style performances featuring a particular genre or theme.
Once again, centering around the genre of Hip Hop, this season’s Black Box Sessions bring high-energy performances to the Play Circle with three artists setting new standards for rap performance and ingenuity. From underground legends to young boundary-pushers, each show is a peek into the innovation driving the genre forward.
redveil delivers polished, self-produced tracks and a lyrical prowess that have earned him co-signs from Tyler, The Creator and comparisons to Dr. Dre and J. Cole (Pitchfork)—all before his 22nd birthday.
Blueprint, a staple of underground Hip Hop, brings over two decades of thoughtful lyricism and DIY ethic as an ever-evolving emcee, writer, producer and teacher.
