What Is WUD Film?
The Wisconsin Union Directorate Film Committee is a student-run organization dedicated to bringing a diverse, innovative, and exciting lineup of movies to the University of Wisconsin – Madison campus and surrounding community.
Our active committee members help program, advertise, and host hundreds of free film screenings each year in Union South’s state-of-the-art Marquee Theater.
WUD Film strives to maintain a diverse programming lineup consisting of contemporary Hollywood blockbusters, independent, international, and documentary film, as well as late night cult favorites. In addition, the committee organizes a summer Lakeside Cinema series on the Memorial Union Terrace.
How Do I Join the Committee?
Students of all majors and levels of interest in film are welcome to join the WUD Film Committee - the only membership requirement is a love for movies.
WUD Film Committee Meetings are held on Mondays at 7pm during the academic year.
We meet at Union South, so check the TITU (Today in the Union) listing for room location each week. Contact film@union.wisc.edu for more information on how to join the committee!
All free events sponsored by WUD Film Committee are intended for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff and Union members and guests.
