Terrace Paver Repairs Complete
The Memorial Union Terrace is one of UW–Madison’s most cherished gathering places — known for its iconic sunburst chairs, stunning lake views, and strong sense of community. To ensure this high-traffic area remains safe, accessible, and beautiful, the Wisconsin Union conducted a comprehensive restoration of the Terrace pavers in 2024 and 2025.
Over time, many engraved pavers became worn due to weather and foot traffic. As part of this large-scale effort, pavers were removed and restored in phases. When pavers were returned to the Terrace their locations may have changed. Use the database search below to find the location of your paver.
The Terrace paver program was a unique opportunity for dedicated supporters like you to leave a mark on this beloved space. More importantly, it raised crucial funds to ensure the Union remains a treasured spot for future generations. Your support and dedication are truly inspiring, and we are honored you chose to be part of our legacy. Given the high costs associated with these repairs, we do not anticipate making further repairs to the engravings now that this process is complete.
Thank you for helping preserve the magic of the Terrace for generations to come.
