Rocking Out for Student Success

UW-Madison’s College of Letters & Science offers students a little bit of everything. From the natural and social sciences, tech, arts & humanities, Badgers at UW-Madison’s largest college experience an exciting range of course subjects, academic disciplines and professional opportunities.

SuccessWorks

Students meet with alumni mentors at a SuccessWorks networking event.

“The College of Letters & Science opens doors to an extraordinary number of possibilities for our students,” says Rebekah Pryor Paré, Executive Director of SuccessWorks and L&S Associate Dean.

SuccessWorks at the College of Letters & Science is a center for personal and professional development that’s changing the way students in the college prepare for careers.

“SuccessWorks connects students with the advisors, alumni, employers who help them turn academic success into the skills and experiences they need to build fulfilling, productive lives after graduation,” Paré continues.

SuccessWorks Rocks! is a unique partnership between the Wisconsin Union Theater and SuccesWorks. The event kicked off last year with a concert by Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers, supported by Wisconsin native Phil Cook. It was a wonderful gathering of alumni, supporters of the college and die-hard fans.

This year’s show features Béla Fleck, Zakir Hussain, and Edgar Meyer, whose innovative, genre-crossing music is a fitting celebration of the eclectic majors and experiences of students in the College of Letters & Science. This concert also helps us demonstrate our gratitude to the important friends, partners and members of the public who help to make the students' success possible.
