The Wisconsin Union Theater is delighted to announce the schedule for its 100th Concert Series, 2019-2020.

Along with the 100th anniversary of the venerable Concert Series, the season will include a Women of the World series, fantastic new artists as well as great established ones, a Valentine’s Day dance and wonderful collaborations.

The Wisconsin Union’s Social Justice Hub will offer free facilitator training for University of Wisconsin-Madison students, staff and faculty interested in moderating the Hub’s dialogue-based workshops on Oct. 21 and 28, 5-7 p.m. at Union South.

On Sept. 20, the Wisconsin Union team and Tong Family Marina stakeholders celebrated the Tong Family Marina reaching a point in construction in which sailing lessons and other activities can occur at the new, state-of-the-art marina.

The marina features infrastructure that enhances accessibility and efficiency on the lakefront. The newly constructed marina will benefit thousands of members of the Wisconsin Hoofers, an outdoor recreation club, and Outdoor UW customers each year.

The Wisconsin Union’s Social Justice Hub team will hold an open house for University of Wisconsin-Madison students Sept. 23 6-8 p.m. at Union South.

Pianists may now sign-up to play the Wisconsin Union Theater’s historic Steinway Concert Grand Piano during the Theater’s Open Piano Day on Sept. 22 from 1-4 p.m. in Memorial Union’s Shannon Hall.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Sept. 13 for a Q&A with producer, activist and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” actress Stephanie Beatriz in Shannon Hall at Memorial Union on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.

The Wisconsin Union team will host the Campus Farmers Market Thursdays, which will feature local and organic products, Sept. 5 until Oct. 24 at Union South from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Area vendors will sell their local products during the market outside Union South at the corner of North Orchard Street and West Johnson Street. Featured vendors include Bloom Bake Shop, Chrysalis Pops, Munchkey Apples, Parrfection Produce, Porchlight Products and Savory Accents.

The Theater team is excited to announce the following festival lineup:

Elizabeth Snodgrass will join the Wisconsin Union Theater team as the Theater’s director.

In this position, Snodgrass will lead the Wisconsin Union Theater in its efforts to present, promote and cultivate a lifelong appreciation of the performing arts, especially among University of Wisconsin-Madison students. She will also partner with the student-led Wisconsin Union Directorate Performing Arts Committee, UW-Madison departments and local arts organizations to present quality programming that provides diverse experiences for the community.
