Nye, a steadfast champion of critical thinking and science, aims to help foster a scientifically literate society and to help people everywhere understand and appreciate science, including climate change and its impact on the world.

The Emmy award-winner recently took part in a documentary, called “Bill Nye: Science Guy,” which took viewers behind the scenes as Nye challenged individuals denying science, including climate change.

“The climate is changing. It’s our fault. And we got to get to work on this,” Nye said in the documentary.

Nye holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and traces the moment he fell in love with science back to the 11th grade. From 1993-1998, Nye hosted a show, called “Bill Nye the Science Guy®,” which explored various scientific principles. Nye won seven Emmy Awards for writing, performing and producing the show, and the show won 18 Emmys. Nye has also written eight science children’s books as well as books for general audiences on climate change, evolution and critical thinking.
