A Message From Our Director: COVID-19
Posted: 03/25/20
The Wisconsin Union Theater’s role is to present the highest quality performing arts to our University faculty, staff, and students and to our Madison community. Our mission is to bring people together to experience the transformational power of live performing arts, creating togetherness in space and in spirit. We are guided by the mantra, “The show must go on.”
In light of COVID-19, for your safety and for that of our team, the show can’t go on at this time. We don’t have all the answers right now. We may be able to reschedule some performances; others we may not. We are in contact with artists’ management teams and exploring every possibility. In the midst of uncertainty, though, we have been astounded by the empathy, understanding and patience of you, our incredible patrons.
We have already begun reaching out to many of our ticket holders and will continue to do so in the coming weeks to share next steps for each show. While we may not be able to gather together right now, the show will go on again. We’re working through these unprecedented times together.
Until the curtain can rise again, we thank you for your support, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Wisconsin Union Theater soon.
Warm wishes,
Elizabeth
