The Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club will be hosting its 61st Annual Ski and Snowboard Resale in Union South’s Varsity Hall on Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This long-running event offers the opportunity for individuals to buy and sell discounted gear for all ages for the upcoming winter season. This includes downhill skis, nordic skis, snowboards, boots, jackets, helmets, goggles and more.
“Resale is one of the biggest ski swaps in the Midwest, offering an opportunity for the community to get a chance to try new winter sports or to even find budget-friendly gear,” said Kaya Ujikawa, Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club vice president of resale. “It also gives the public an opportunity to sell their own gear, helping others gear up for the upcoming winter season.”
Individuals interested in selling their new or gently used gear can bring up to 10 items to Union South between 5-8 p.m. on Dec. 4 or between noon-8 p.m. on Dec. 5. More information about the resale, including acceptable items and guidelines, can be found at hoofersns.org/resale. A portion of every resold item that is purchased will support the student-led Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club.
The Hoofer Alpine and Nordic teams will offer waxing and tuning of alpine skis, nordic skis and snowboards, with costs ranging from $15 to $40.
All resale purchases support the Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club, including its Alpine, Nordic, and Freestyle teams. Customers can make purchases with Discover, Visa, or Mastercard credit and debit cards, Wiscard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cash. Tax-deductible donations can also be made here.
Anyone 18 or older can join the Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club or any of the other five Wisconsin Hoofer outdoor clubs. The Hoofer Ski and Snowboard Club provides opportunities for individuals of all experience levels to enjoy the winter ski and snowboard season, including lessons, annual winter break and spring break trips, and a summer trip to Chile.
