Student performance troupe Wisconsin Singers will premiere its Broadway-caliber revue, “Star of the Show,” on Nov. 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Shannon Hall in Memorial Union.

From the spotlight to backstage and beyond, full-time University of Wisconsin–Madison students are the powerhouses behind the performance. Through Broadway-level vocals, professional choreography and a live nine-piece band, the show invites audiences on a musical journey spanning the past 50 years of American popular music.

“Star of the Show” is designed for audiences of all ages. Individual and group tickets are available for $16-$26 at tinyurl.com/2r46satt

“This show is more than just the music — it’s about the drive, heart and collaboration that bring every performance to life,” Maggie Condon, Wisconsin Singers executive producer, said. “Whether it’s the rising star chasing their first big break or the quiet leader working behind the curtain, ‘Star of the Show’ honors the many ways we find our light.”

This original 90-minute show blends pop, jazz, rock, funk and Broadway across 60 songs, including hits from Queen, Chappell Roan, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton and Ariana Grande. Broadway fans can expect to hear songs from “Wicked,” “Hamilton,” “The Greatest Showman,” “Hadestown” and more, while the Wisconsin Singers band performs hits of American big band and a “Star Wars” medley.
