A Wisconsin Union-hosted, new wintertime event series, called Frosty Bites, will come to Memorial Union on Dec. 1 from 7-8:15 p.m. and Dec. 2 from 4-6:30 p.m. and will include many festivities in celebration of the winter season, including house-made appetizers, beverages, and live music performed by University of Wisconsin–Madison students.
Cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason performed at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and, on Nov. 3 at Memorial Union in Madison, Wisconsin, audience members can experience the artistry that led to a personal phone invitation from the Duchess of Sussex to perform at her nuptials.

Day of the Dead traditions reimagined for the modern stage
The Wisconsin Union team’s annual Thanksgiving To Go will return in November with online ordering of group meals for six people and individual-sized meals beginning Nov. 1 at 9 a.m. CDT and ending on Nov.15 at 5 p.m. CDT or while supplies last.
Since 2004, the Wisconsin Union team has offered ready-to-reheat and serve, house-made Thanksgiving meals. This year’s meal options include:
Several sections of a UW–Madison swimming pier located in front of Memorial Union collapsed into Lake Mendota around 2:35 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 4. A number of students and other members of the public were on the pier at the time and fell into the water.
The UW–Madison Police Department (UWPD), the Madison Fire Department, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin Union staff and UW–Madison Dean of Students Christina Olstad responded to the area to provide first aid and assistance.
The annual Black Arts Matter (BAM) Festival returns for a fourth year to Madison, Wisconsin, Nov. 8-12. The BAM Festival will include live music, visual art, a vendor market, and a poetry slam competition featuring slam champions from across the United States.
Theater-goers can experience the music of Brandee Younger, an artist who is said to be revolutionizing the harp for the digital age, on Sept. 29 in Madison, Wisconsin, as part of the Wisconsin Union Theater (WUT) 2023-24 season.

University of Wisconsin–Madison Homecoming is back for its 113th year with eight days of events and activities from Sept. 30-Oct. 7. The Wisconsin Homecoming Committee will present free celebrations, including a concert featuring rap artist Armani White, the long-established parade through downtown Madison, and – new this year – a parade after-party on Library Mall. The Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) will host additional events, including a block party and pep rally at the Memorial Union Terrace featuring fireworks, weather permitting.
The nonprofit organization the Wisconsin Union and Madison beverage company Karben4 have released two non-alcoholic, gluten-free, sparkling beverages, called Terrace Lemonade and Terrace Strawberry Lemonade, at the Union’s Memorial Union.
For the first time, customers can purchase Terrace Strawberry Lemonade and Terrace Lemonade exclusively at Memorial Union and, beginning in the fall, at all Wisconsin Union-run dining locations.
A new free event, called Swing Dance Night on the Terrace, will come to the Memorial Union Terrace on July 30 from 7-10 p.m. and feature swing music by All That Jazz Little Big Band and swing dance instruction hosted by the Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) Music Committee, the Hoofer Sailing Club and the Madison Swing Social Dance Club.
