They’ll pave it all with concrete.
It won’t be a friendly or usable space.
Ted Crabb heard those complaints and more when he helped create what today is Madison and UW-Madison’s most beloved spot.
The Wisconsin Union's Outdoor UW makes it easy to escape the hustle and bustle of city and campus life and experience a different part of Wisconsin for a night, a weekend or a full week with camping tent rentals.
Four-person Kelty tents are rented from the Outdoor UW office in Memorial Union, 800 Langdon St. Prices range from as little as $6 for one night for Wisconsin Hoofers members to up to $55 for a full week for Union guests. Tents cannot be reserved in advance and are rented on a first-come-first-serve basis. For full pricing information, visit union.wisc.edu/outdooruw.
The Wisconsin Union is again hosting a weekly farmer’s market every Thursday from September 3 through October 22 at Union South from 10 am to 2 pm.
The Memorial Union Reinvestment will be in full swing of the final phases as of Tuesday, September 1. Although part of the building and Terrace will be under construction, the entire west wing as well as several other spaces will be open to enjoy. “This fall brings a chance to find a new cozy spot at the Memorial Union while some old favorites close for renovations.
