Wisconsin Union alumni invited to attend 'Union Reunion 2017'
Posted: 12/02/16
The Wisconsin Union invites past and present Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) student leaders, Union staff and Hoofer alumni to a reunion Nov. 10-12, 2017.
Registration for the Wisconsin Union and Memorial Union Building Association (MUBA)-hosted event opens June 2017. An estimated 100 attendees are expected, so the Union encourages attendees to register early and save the dates on their calendars.
Union Reunion 2017 will include tours of Union South, which opened in 2011, and the restored Memorial Union. It will also feature many other exciting opportunities, including a dinner that will remind guests of the cherished time they spent at the Wisconsin Union.
Wisconsin Union, WUD and Hoofer alumni will also take part in a Badger Bash tailgate and game watch at Union South.
The reunion will give attendees the unique opportunity to network with past and present WUD leaders while enjoying the game day atmosphere.
“This is another opportunity to reconnect and have fun with your fellow Wisconsin Union, Directorate and Hoofer leaders,” said Wisconsin Union Reunion Facilitator Jim Rogers.
The Wisconsin Union reunion planning committee encourages alumni to attend the event to reconnect with friends and to share their experiences with others. It will also give alumni the chance to discuss how the Union has impacted their lives both at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as in their careers.
Wisconsin Union, WUD and Hoofer alumni interested in helping spread the word about this opportunity may do so by becoming reunion ambassadors. Both the Union and MUBA encourage interested individuals to email Darren DeMatoff, MUBA associate trustee, at darren@goldleafdesigngroup.com.
Anyone interested in attending the event can stay up-to-date by sending a blank email to join-wudreunioninterest@lists.wisc.edu. More information about this event is available at union.wisc.edu/unionreunion2017.
