Whether a UW-Madison alumnus, current or retired employee, or friend of the Wisconsin Union from near or far—membership is open to everyone. We have a variety of options available from yearly installments to one-time payments for a lifetime of benefits.

Need a membership number fast? It will take 3-5 business days for your membership number and materials to arrive. Please use your confirmation email as proof of recent membership purchase until your new card arrives.

Note: UW-Madison faculty, staff or guest students are welcome to use the Union as associates of the University and enjoy limited Union privileges. To receive full benefits, you must purchase a Union membership.

For just one year following your graduation date, you are entitled to the best rate on lifetime membership that the Wisconsin Union has to offer. Join now!

New Graduate - $50

BONUS - Only lifetime members may provide their spouse/partner with a lifetime membership for a single payment of just $75. This option may be purchased at the same time as the "Alumni Single-Payment Lifetime" or "Alumni - Final installment" payment, or any time after lifetime membership is in place. Spouse/partner recipient must reside at the same address as the member.

Alumni Annual Installment - $55
Become a lifetime member with four yearly installments. We'll send you a renewal reminder each year, and with your fourth installment, you’ll become a Wisconsin Union lifetime member.

Alumni Annual Installment Renewal - $55
This option renews your annual membership for another year and moves you one step closer to conversion to a Lifetime membership.

Alumni Final Installment
Have you reached the fourth and final annual installment on your road to lifetime membership? Or have you decided to wrap it up early and move right to lifetime member status? Call our office and we'll process that final payment with you by phone. 608-262-2263.

Alumni Single-Payment Lifetime - $200
One payment, one great price for a lifetime of membership in the amazing Wisconsin Union.

If you retired within the last year, this is the lifetime membership option for you. Make the Wisconsin Union part of your new routine.

Retired More than 1 year - $200
If you’ve been retired for more than a year, this is the lifetime option for you. Welcome back to the Union!

BONUS - Only lifetime members may provide their spouse/partner with a lifetime membership for a single payment of just $75. This option may be purchased at the same time as the Recent Retiree or Retired More than 1 year lifetime memberships are purchased, or any time after lifetime membership is in place. Spouse/partner recipient must reside at the same address as the member.

As a community member, you are an important part of what makes the Wisconsin Union so unique.

First time Annual Installment – $55
Annual installments provide a multiple-payment option for a Lifetime membership, as your installments accrue toward a Lifetime membership. We'll send you a renewal reminder each year, and with your sixth installment, you’ll become a Wisconsin Union lifetime member. When six installments (a total of $330) have been paid, your membership will automatically convert from Annual to Lifetime. Each installment provides one year of Wisconsin Union membership.

Annual Renewal Installment - $55
This installment renews your annual membership for another year and moves you one step closer to conversion to a Lifetime membership.

Annual Installment – Final Payment

Your single-payment option for a Lifetime Wisconsin Union membership.

Lifetime for Spouse/Partner - $75
