Union Council

UnionCouncil AC 01

Union Council is the Wisconsin Union's governing body responsible to the Board of Regents through the Chancellor. The Council determines the scope of Union programs, services and operations. It elects the officers of Union Council and Directorate and the 11 committee directors. There are 15 voting members: nine students and six non-student members representing students, faculty, alumni and staff.

The Council has created four standing Advisory Boards:

  • Administration
  • Facilities
  • Dining and Hospitality
  • Program and Leadership Development

Membership in these Advisory Boards should include students, alumni, and staff. Their charge is to monitor specific areas, study problems in-depth and report the findings and recommend appropriate action to Union Council.
