Wisconsin Union Directorate Publications Committee will hold Fall 2018 Launch Party

The Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) Publications Committee (PubCom) will host a Fall 2018 Launch Party Dec. 12 from 7-9 p.m. in Great Hall at Memorial Union to celebrate the launch of the latest issues of its publications as well as the work of the students who make these possible.
This event is free and open to UW-Madison students, faculty and staff; as well as Wisconsin Union members and their guests.
The Launch Party will include refreshments, music and the opportunity to connect with many of the committee’s editors, writers, photographers, designers and other contributors.
PubCom has more than 100 student committee members who create six outstanding magazines and journals along with many events.
The committee aims to provide a creative outlet for UW-Madison students interested in creating poetry and prose, reporting on music and fashion, or delving into research in science and public policy.
Its publications include Moda, a fashion magazine; Emmie, a music magazine; Souvenirs, a travel magazine; The Dish, a food magazine; Illumination, a literary magazine; and Sifting & Winnowing, a journal of public policy and international law.
The committee prints approximately 500 copies of each publication each semester. Committee members distribute publications on campus and in the greater Madison area.
